The centre is a multidisciplinary unit conducting projects on spatial phenomena in the Middle East while also coordinating several exchange programs to the region.

The Department of Human Rights at Lund University has been a partner of CMES since its founding. The issue of human rights is vital when researching the Middle East, especially in Sweden. Therefore, we are teaming up to offer courses, events and conferences.
